The main reason for awarding this sketch with the 1st prize was the high market potential of the product it presents. The competition jury praised the well-thought-out design of the sketched lighting solution, the possibility of implementing it into production, its potential to be used in different types of objects and its innovativeness showed by the possibility of adapting the product to the client’s individual preferences (e.g. by choosing the arrangement of the light sources). The jury decided that after a proper product development process, the sketched luminaire may be successfully introduced into the professional lighting solutions’ market.
The competition jury particularly praised the variety of available mounting methods of the luminaire presented in the sketch. The product presented in the competition entry can be suspended, ceiling or wall mounted, what makes it possible to adapt the lighting solution to the client’s preferences and needs of a particular interior. The product presented in the sketch could be used especially in office, hotel and residential spaces.
